This program is tailored for preschoolers 3-5 y/o (younger siblings are welcome) and their parents/caretakers
Story Time is a great opportunity to socialize and introduce children to a love of reading. Families of preschoolers and young learners, join us in the Twing room for stories, songs, crafts and a snack Thursdays at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m., no signup needed, all are welcome!
Book Club
The Friends of the Library Book Club meets at the Johnson County Library at 3 pm, on the second Tuesday of the month (Sept.-May). Interested in being a Friend of the Library but Book Clubs aren't your thing? No worries! Come to a regular meeting afterward at 4 p.m. to get information on how you can join the Friends and help the Library.
Hey Teens!
6th - 12th grade students the library is the place to be every other Tuesday afternoon, October- March (see complete schedule). Teen Librarian, Teresa has a great lineup of programs planned from board game afternoons, to creative crafting; there will even be a bit of robot coding. Break the routine, come hang out at the library, and let your creativity flow.
LEGOs at the Library
Build and submit your LEGO design for display at the Johnson County Library. Prizes awarded to one Best in Show build from each age group. Our annual Lego competition begins in March and is for Johnson County youth, preschool thru high school. Check out guidelines, dates, and complete entry information by clicking the links below.

Presented by the UW Extension Johnson County & Johnson County Library. Drop in as your schedule allows. Let's get the seed library restocked for the season and talk gardening plans! Participants are welcome to take home seed for their gardens and refreshments will be provided.
